Sam Anindito

With a background in communication studies, advertising and TV, Sam co-founded Independent Film Surabaya (Film Community) in 1999. With over 20 years in this sector, and experience in largescale communication campaigns, Sam is also a mentor and frequent speaker at creative events at East Java.

As a certified scuba diver, Sam has a strong bond with the ocean. In 2017, he and his diving community planted 50 permanent ‘hosts’ for coral reefs off the coast of Bali. Sam dives at more than 30 spots in Indonesia, and always collects as much waste as he can carry while he’s there. He’s therefore excited to combine his skills and love for the ocean in service to Common Seas’ mission.
